▼This episode of toy sharing features the crane from the Construction Team Combiner produced by Dream Star. The packaging is relatively small in size. The inner packaging is made of blister material, and the toy is placed in the box in humanoid form, which is simple and straightforward. There are introductions about the relevant forms and details of the toy on the back cover. If I hadn't seen the back cover, I wouldn't have known that the head is equipped with magnetic - activated lighting.

▼In terms of accessories, the Hook comes with its own weapon, a combination head, and related replacement parts. Additionally, the included chest armor is transformable. Weapon-wise, it includes two weapons and red transparent blades that can be mounted on the forearm and the Hook arm. Despite being made of transparent material, the blades are sufficiently thick.

▼The combinable chest armor can independently transform into the upper body of Devastator, though it’s uncertain when the lower body will be released to complete the set.The transformation process is relatively simple, but the two foldable green parts at the back of the toy can be difficult to press tightly on one side in the unit I received. Be cautious while handling it and avoid using excessive force. The large head also comes with an interchangeable expression and a police car accessory for the head.

▼The Hook’s robot form is well-balanced, presenting a more conventional design compared to the Loader’s bulkiness. It features the same formula of dark green metallic paint paired with a purple torso. The Hook has noticeably more parts than the Loader, making it appear slightly more cumbersome compared to the Loader’s cohesiveness.

▼Viewed from multiple angles, aside from the innovative upward-facing backpack, the overall design is still quite commendable. The Hook’s structure is more complex than the Loader’s. This time, the manufacturer has introduced a four-mode transformation for the Hook, allowing it to transform not only into the standard shoulder configuration but also into a leg form.

▼In Hook mode, it can fully equip weapons and combination parts, though doing so restricts the side-to-side movement of the Hook arm.

▼The underside of the vehicle reveals a clear view of the transformation structure’s layout. The Hook also features rubber wheels, allowing for relatively smooth movement. However, you may need to adjust the skirt plates slightly to avoid minor scraping on the ground.

▼From multiple angles, the Hook vehicle mode feels highly futuristic. Compared to the loader vehicle, the Hook doesn’t seem to belong to Earth, with too many thrusters and mecha-like structures.

▼The maximum elevation angle and extension distance of the Hook arm are shown in the images, with the telescopic arm featuring a gear structure that produces a satisfying clicking sound during movement. The clean vehicle mode is also quite appealing—personally, I prefer this look over the heavily armored version.

▼The Hook’s interaction is even tougher on poor Bumblebee—directly lifting him up! The Hook arm’s support strength holds up well. Having both heavy-duty vehicles together looks undeniably impressive. Large-sized vehicles are incredibly satisfying to play with, and just imagining all six large vehicles lined up is thrilling. The size comparison between the Hook and the Beetle vehicle mode is shown in the image below.

▼The Hook’s robot mode, due to its excessive additional accessories, is not as smooth to handle as the loader, especially with the forearm and elbow design, which makes it uncomfortable to play with. Transforming from robot to vehicle mode is not overly complex and shares some structural similarities with the loader. The overall quality and craftsmanship of the toy are on par with the loader. However, due to its more intricate structure and the higher number of parts, playing with both toys simultaneously does create a slight sense of difference.

▼The lighter-equipped robot mode is easier to handle, though some joints are overly tight and require a bit more force to adjust.

▼The overall completeness of the Hook is still quite good. However, its handling falls slightly behind the loader due to its complex structure and the need to accommodate multiple components and the mechanisms required for its various forms. For instance, the front section of the vehicle not being able to fit together seamlessly is one of the minor craftsmanship issues. I’m already looking forward to the impressive scene of all members coming together—after all, the greatest appeal of combiners is the process of assembling them.
