Iron Factory EX-71 Death Cobra
Material: ABS

Estimated Releasing Date: 4th Quarter 2023
Hello everyone, I’m Crab. Today, I bring you Iron Factory’s final member of the Sharking combiner: Venom. Venom is the character from Victory Struggle who was meant to replace Blue Bat as the seventh combiner member but was quickly killed off by Blue Bat. Let’s just say… the heroes’ meticulous planning can’t beat a villain’s dumb luck. This Iron Factory Venom not only recreates the story of Venom replacing Blue Bat but also enables a seven-member combination. How does it perform? Let’s dive in.
▼Packaging: The box follows Iron Factory’s signature style, with a transparent window on the left-center showcasing the figure. The window’s lower right displays a white prototype of the combined mode and Venom’s dual-mode photos.
![Iron Factory EX-71 Death Cobra green yellow and black robot warrior Iron Factory EX-71 Death Cobra green yellow and black robot warrior]()
▼The back focuses on dual-mode photos, accessories, and combination play. Personally, they should’ve used the seven-member winged combination image for more grandeur.
![Green and yellow modular robot figure with interchangeable articulated parts Green and yellow modular robot figure with interchangeable articulated parts]()
▼Contents: Venom main body, Transformable chest armor (replaceable), Chest armor gun-mode sculpted part, Double-headed spear, Long blade, Multiple interchangeable hands, Seven-combiner wings & combination parts, Instructions. Venom’s accessory count is high (half are for combining), with wings monopolizing an entire blister tray. This explains the thicker box compared to other members.
![Modular transformer robot displaying transformation sequence and configurations Modular transformer robot displaying transformation sequence and configurations]()
▼Head Sculpt: Matches the animal-themed helmets of other members. Snake eyes feature red paint, and the cobra-like neck frills on the helmet sides nail the Venom theme.
![Detailed yellow and green robot warrior in action combat pose stance Detailed yellow and green robot warrior in action combat pose stance]()
▼Chest Armor: A solid sculpted piece (prioritizing accuracy over transformation). A transformable chest armor is included as an optional swap (more on that later).
![Green yellow and black transformer fully assembled showing articulation Green yellow and black transformer fully assembled showing articulation]()
▼Backpack: Stores vehicle-mode nose, tail, and propeller — reminiscent of 07 Movie Blackout’s design. Bulky but not bloated.
![]()
▼Articulation: Head: Swivel + tilt; Arms: 90° lateral raise, 180° elbow bend, wrist swivel; Waist: Swivel; Legs: 60° front kick, 90° side kick (limited back kick due to backpack); Thigh swivel, 90° knee bend, 360° ankle pivot/ground tilt. Posability rivals mainstream Classics figures — no issues striking dynamic poses.

▼Venom's accessories include this transformable chest armor. In beast mode, the chest armor becomes a snake, though compared to other individual members, this snake form feels somewhat abstract.
![]()
▼The chest armor can also transform into a small gun. The toy additionally includes a dedicated sculpted small gun part. Compared to the sculpted part, the transformable small gun does appear noticeably shorter.
![]()
▼This double-headed spear is the standard weapon for these individual members of Sharking. Compared to the narrow and pointed spearheads in the anime, the toy version’s spearheads appear broader.
![]()
▼The spearheads can also be replaced with blade edges, turning the double-headed spear into a long blade. This long blade does indeed deliver more visual impact compared to the double-headed spear.
![]()
▼Transformation. Not difficult but requires patience due to ball joints and small size. The armed helicopter alt-mode features: Dark yellow translucent cockpit, Molded machine gun on the nose, Functional landing gear.
![]()
▼Combination Play. Venom can replace Blue Bat as Sharking’s right arm (faithful to the anime). Combination requires dedicated parts — acceptable compromise.
![]()
▼When Sharking uses Blue Bat, Venom can attach to the back via connectors (and vice versa). Other combination parts will be demoed once I collect the remaining members.
![]()
▼Final Thoughts. Iron Factory Venom fills a void — this character has had barely any toys since its debut. Pros: Maintains Iron Factory’s high sculpting standards, Rich accessories (including anime-accurate Blue Bat swap), Seven-combiner potential. I’ll demo the full combination once I get the other members — stay tuned!
