BenZonah: Second batch of these. Quality is still good. Love the oversized SS86 sharkticons. This batch, while good, did have a good amount of scuffs and scratches on some pieces. Still a great value. Wonder if I should buy a third set.

BenZonah: Decline of Fanstoys continues. Visually it's great, transformation isn't too bad. But the QC is awful. My copy came with multiple loose pieces. Most of them could be plugged in. You try to turn his head in robot mode and it breaks! Showz hooked me up with a replacement part. The neck won't move without a screwdriver to rotate it. It's so tight. it's either use a screwdriver to rotate it or he stares straight all the time.

I have assumed Fanstoys products were above the rest, but that's not true. Fanstoys is no different from any other 3P company in terms of quality.  It is possible for fanstoys to produce bad figures and this release proves it.

BenZonah: This is a great set that fits together nicely. Looks awesome. There are some problems with limbs popping off if you transformation the wrong way and the guns on his head don't stay on if you apply pressure when transforming him. Despite the QC issues, it's a great set to buy.

BenZonah: Great set. Articulated hands are great. The leg extensions make Menasaur bigger. The feet upgrades work well. Love the pieces to form a new gun. I don't care for the toy chest but I couldn't figure out how to get it on. On my copy of Menasaur, his standard chest doesn't pop off. Videos and instructions make it look so easy, but not in my experience.

BenZonah: The engineering is there, the quality isn't. Very good engineering and great designs. Windcharger seems the better of the two. But sometimes pieces pop off. Gears looks great but has problems tabbing together in alt mode. My copy also had a chipped panel right out of the box. I've never had QC issues with MS before now. Guess it reflects the low price.

BenZonah: Great design with some flaws and QC issues. I'm impressed by the engineering on this. Looks great in bot and alt mode. Alt head eyes can move (need tweezers or a paper clip). Can be a bit figidety to get together but it works out in the end. Paint and texture are nice.

Plastic around his neck and hands has some stress marks. The step of transforming his head by extending the gray piece over his body is horrible. It's bound to break if you keep transforming him. Don't know what MetaGate was thinking. QC issue with his torso always popping out when moving his arms. Have to hold in by the stomach to prevent it.

This is probably not a play with toy due to multiple QC issues. More of a display piece.

BenZonah: Bot mode looks great. Transformation is fairly simple. I did it without instructions or youtube. Vehicle mode looks really funny due to it being too small. Comes with a lot of accessories including blast effects and jet pack. The sled is a nice touch for g1 fans but thankfully doesn't incorporate in the transformation.

Sorry newage, but Magic square still wins the best Ironhide in legends scale.

BenZonah: Great looking bot mode. Lots of accessories. Transformation, while not that complex has problems holding together. I had to loosen several screws as parts of the bot were initially way too tight and parts wouldn't move. This thing has way too many plastic tabs that given the tightness of the transformation are going to break in the future.

For posing, it's great. For transformation, not so great.

BenZonah: Advice for those buying this mold. Check the screw in the picture where the cab rotates. My Artfire was too tight from the factory (which I didn't know) and it broke while transforming it. You should loosen it before transformation so it's not too tight as a precaution.

That said, this is a great mold. The transformation of the crane into the chest is great. The paint is great. Disappointed that it didn't come with any blast accessories.

BenZonah: Wow. This is a great figure. No issues on first transformation and back. Very secure joints. Very posable. I have a few concerns about some of the tabs and connections, especially the bottom legs when separating during transformation. I wonder if they will eventually break with repeated transformation. Cross that bridge when I get to it I guess.

Didn't try the electronics as I don't care about that.

The instructions suck, so you may need to find a YouTube video.
