Today, I’d like to share one of the most delightful surprises I’ve had recently. It’s a great honor to have received, before its official release, a sample of the latest work from Round Culture’s Dragon Soul Fighter Jet series—the original transforming mecha Y-20 “Yun Sheng Kunpeng”, officially licensed by Aviation Cultural Creativity. It is said to be supervised and produced by Wei Jiang, a name that should be very familiar to many of you.
▼This is not just a toy; it feels more like an awe-inspiring showcase of imagination and craftsmanship. Without further ado, let’s take a closer look together.

▼Robot Mode · A Majestic Presence：At first glance in robot mode, only one phrase came to mind: “overwhelmingly imposing.” The massive shoulder and leg armor create a solid, powerful silhouette. The lines are bold yet smooth. I couldn’t help thinking to myself, “With such a complex design, can it really transform seamlessly into an aircraft?” That sense of doubt mixed with anticipation instantly hit its peak.

▼The head sculpt is extremely sharp. Since the piece in hand is a sample, the seam line at the center is slightly visible; I believe the final retail version will handle this more perfectly. The head and neck use a dual-joint design, offering a surprisingly wide range of motion, making both gazing and looking afar poses feel full of life.

▼The torso contains multiple internal joints, mainly serving the transformation structure, so articulation is somewhat limited—but still more than sufficient to support an upright and dignified stance.

▼The arms are absolutely outstanding. The multi-segment shoulder structure, designed specifically for transformation, actually grants an exceptionally wide range of articulation beyond the norm. The elbows can bend nearly fully closed, making poses like holding a rifle or throwing a punch effortless. There are even extendable inner structural details hidden inside the shoulder armor—an impressive touch of craftsmanship.

▼The legs are my personal favorite. I have zero resistance to this kind of power-packed massive leg armor. Like the arms, they offer excellent articulation, with side leg lifts reaching an astonishing 180 degrees. Knee bending is somewhat limited by the armor design, but around 90 degrees is more than enough for most dynamic poses.

▼Overall, the joints are tuned just right—tight yet smooth. Handling the figure feels very natural, allowing you to confidently pose it into any cool stance you have in mind.

▼As for accessories, it comes with two rifles. The grips feature hidden mechanisms that allow them to integrate cleverly with the main body.

▼The dual-purpose display stand is intuitive and cleverly designed. With simple assembly, it can switch between modes. The base also thoughtfully includes ports for mounting the rifles, adding more visual storytelling to the display.

▼Vehicle Mode · Kunpeng Spreads Its Wings：Now for the highlight—transformation. Following the instructions step by step, you can watch the once towering mecha go through a series of clever and well-reasoned folds, collapses, and combinations, eventually transforming seamlessly into the mighty Y-20 transport aircraft. The entire process is so smooth and satisfying to watch, delivering that exhilarating sense of “logical realization” that lies at the very core of transforming toys. As expected, having Wei Jiang supervising makes all the difference.

▼Once fully deployed, the wingspan exceeds 41 cm, giving it a strong presence when placed on a desk.

▼The aircraft mode is rich in detail. Thanks to the official license from Aviation Cultural Creativity, even the panel lines of the cargo doors are faithfully reproduced. The landing gear is retractable (the rear landing gear on the sample is relatively tight, so a bit of care is needed during handling), further enhancing realism and playability in vehicle mode.

▼When Aviation Cultural Creativity places “Yun Sheng Kunpeng” alongside its companion from the same series, “Cangwei,” the mechanical beauty drawn from real-world aviation technology colliding with imaginative design simply feels spot on.

Conclusion：After spending time handling it, my excitement still hasn’t subsided. This is a work with an exceptionally high level of completion and sincerity. It boasts stunning design, ingeniously engineered transformation, excellent articulation, and a surprisingly accessible price point that feels like a real “ace card.”
