NewAge H62 Louie Blaster with 2 Cassettes
BenZonah: This is truly a great figure. The transformation is so great and very intuitive. It's almost perfect except for when the handle in alt mode joins together. That part, New Age really messed up. It is so hard to join together and so hard to get apart. Separating the handle feels like it is going to break. I will never join it again.

But the paint looks great. The cassettes are great for the size. Speakers add to the figures appearance.
Dr.Wu DW-E36 Menace King Megatron
BenZonah: Magnificent. Remember this is a very small scale and some compromises have to be made. That said, this is a magnificent work of art. It's fun to play with. He actually doesn't have a trigger. The trigger part is painted on, so if you are looking to put in in some bot's hand with a finger on the trigger, you will have to design your own or cut or drill around that piece. It pops off easily so a finger could go there without the trigger.

Only reason I didn't give it five stars was because his right arm cannot rotate so his cannon is on top. Come on Dr. Wu, that is an iconic pose of Megatron. The left arm can rotate at the elbow. You could have easily done that on his right arm but you didn't want to spend the money. So disappointed in that part. I guess Dr Wu has an excuse to do a version 2 now.
XTransbots MX-24 Yaguchi Omnibot Downshift
BenZonah: This is surprisingly a good figure for XTB. It has a good amount of heft to it from the die cast, is relatively easy to transform to bot mode. There is some looseness around the feet.

The instructions suck. Watch a video or try to figure it out on your own.
Changtiao Model CT-01 Megatron
BenZonah: Fun little toy.  He has a very simple transformation. The chest opens to allow his arm to swing across like the MP. Comes with a non-transformable laserbeak that mounts on his arm and an energy mace. No trigger, so it's technically not a mini-replica. Poses decently.

The plastic does feel cheap but the price is very cheap. So remember the price when taking into account quality. Legs can pop off if you don't hold the thighs while rotating the calves during transformation. The gun mode doesn't looks quite right, but it's decent.

Definitely a buy.
NewAge H62S Freouency Blaster Twincast Blaster Version
BenZonah: The inevitable repaint of Blaster, Twincast is here. This is a great figure. Great paint as expected from New Age. The transformation is very intuitive. It's almost perfect except for when the two parts of the handle in alt mode joins together. That part, New Age really messed up. It is so hard to join together and so hard to get apart. Separating the handle feels like it is going to break.

The cassettes are great for the size. They are arguably better than a certain company's recent core class ccassettes.
Dr.Wu DW-E55 Mini-Cassettes Impact Wave Dairu & Zauru Set of 2
BenZonah: Overall a decent set. All modes look great for the size and budget. The engineering is clever. I wouldn't give it five stars because the spots where they connect in bot mode are problematic. It is hard to connect and disconnects frequently when the arms are moved, especially outwards.  I did think of pre-ordering the other colors but am glad I didn’t as that connection point is a sore spot and seems more like a design defect than a manufacturing defect.
Dr.Wu DW-E54B Iron Fortress SD Metroplex Shattered Glass Version
BenZonah: This is a fun set! Sorta chibi style. The colors on this guy are nicely done. The three bots are fun in their limited transformation. Six gun as a plane works very well. His face looks like six shot to me.

The leg connection pegs can get in a spot where you need a spudger tool or small paper clip to get it back out. Other than that flaw, this seems to be a solid figure and fun to fidget with. Nicely done Dr Wu. Keep it up.
IronFactory EX-68 Jallguar
BenZonah: This is better than Killbison, but it still shows that Iron Factory products have QC and design issues. This con looks great, is poseable. Comes with lots of accessories including some claw hands, and a big gun.

It's a bit finicky to transform into alt mode and combined mode but it can be done.
Dr.Wu DW-E09D Star Fear Thrugh Starscream Ashen Color version
BenZonah: Cool dead version of Dr Wu's Starscream.  Comes with a gray throne, gray coronation cape, gray shoulder pads, extra head with different facial expression and normal colored crown. Transforms like the original but also still has the problem where his weapons easily fall off his arms. Sitting on the throne is a bit awkward but it works.

Definitely work buying for any Dr. Wu fans despite some of the shortcomings.
Iron Factory EX-71 Death Cobra
BenZonah: This is a good set. It's on par with the other armbots. Decent transformation, lots of hands, spears, combiner parts, etc. No observed QC defects on my copy. I still hate how they did the double elbow with that extension ratchet joint. Feels like it's going to eventually break with too much usage. Gripe aside, this is a must for any JG1 fan or legends fan.
